Gino joins a great cast of musicians paying tribute to Miles Davis' Electric Band era

Gino's appearances with Pavlo:

Acclaimed percussionist from PAVLO, Gino Mirizio brings his world music ensemble to Toronto's Trane Studio featuring Canada's preeminent jazz trumpet player, Brownman. Mirizio is best known for his work with PAVLO on his uniquely designed "percussion kit" - an extensive percussion setup where Mirizio is seated in front of a myriad of instruments, drumset style. His unique world music ensemble takes jazz standards and twists them into ethnic vehicles showcasing Mirizio's prowess on an array of percussion instruments. Having met the Trinidadian born multi-award winning trumpeter Brownman Ali while on tour, the pair became fast friends, both being heavily featured in PAVLO's "Mediterranean Nights" DVD. Mirizio would ask Brownman to be the musical director this new ensemble and WORLDJAZZ was born.
